[LotrO] Cambio de LOTRO a Free-To-Play

There's been a lot of speculation that was largely wishful thinking, but
it's been confirmed this morning: Lord
of the Rings Online is going free-to-play.

Yes, you heard that right. "LOTRO will introduce Turbine's innovative new pricing model that
allows players to download the game and play for free, purchase
expansions, quest packs, items, and account services a la carte from the
new LOTRO Store, or join the VIP program to get
unlimited access to all of the game's content for one low price."


The news gets even better, as the offer is not restricted to Turbine players. The update will
launch this fall across North America and Europe -- Codemasters will also be adopting
the pricing structure.

The beta program for the new free-to-play model will launch June 16th,
and anyone interested in participating can sign
up on the LotRO site.

Rewards Program has been updated to reflect the upcoming
free-to-play model.

La noticia es que, basicamente van a poner el Lotro como F2P? ahi no habia gente con cuenta vitalicia? si es asi supongo que les cancelaran el pago no?

No, los que estaban pagando suscripción o tenian cuenta vitalicia, van a tener ciertas ventajas.

Aún asi, sigue habiendo una "cuenta de pago" que te permite ciertos beneficios.

Cuando hay gente con suscripciones o cuenta vitalicia, al pasar a F2P suelen darle diferentes privilegios.

Por ejemplo, en el DDO les daban dinero mensual para la tienda online.

Unos añaden la tienda online a las sucripciones y otros cambian el sistema de suscripciones por el mantenimiento unicamente en funcion de la tienda online.

Y dejar las normas claras y un control mas exaustivo dado que sera FTP, como le Allods, para evitar malentendidos.... Armando el Browndispaching 9000... apuntado a nicks de negro... FIRE!

JAjajajajaj No es mala idea, tampoco pintan tan mal las opciones para un "free player" hoyga..

Lo malo es la falta de tiempo, con tanto MMO necesitaré 3 vidas para jugar a tantos :S

Curiosamente (casualidad?, no lo creo!) el post de ¿que es Recios? ha sido modificado recientemente

Nuestra idea es que sea la referencia de comportamiento basico de la comunidad, y que luego en cada juego se pueda especificar aun mas.



Si os fijais lo de los nombres es un punto que ha sido bastante ampliado
